If you've ever tried to change out your thermostat in the Powerstroke Diesel, you'll find that the factory thermostat housing leaves much to be desired. It is a very poor quality stamped steel that doesn't always seal properly when replacing your thermostat and they rust very quickly. The OEM housing is also considered to be "disposable", meaning it's designed for a single usage. If it has to be removed, it must be replaced. The flanges bend under the load of the bolts. The Dieselsite Billet housing is designed to be used over and over again and give you years of trouble-free service.......and it looks great too!
This unit fits the 1999 - 2003 7.3L Powerstroke ***
*** 1999-2003 Superduty and some 2002-2003 E-series Please check yours for style. Older E-Series have a different style housing.

Ever wonder what goes into making a machined part like this?
The pictures below show two stages of it's developement.
The housing must go through about 5 steps in machining to complete the finished product.
Every housing starts with about a 5lb chunk of material.
