SPECIAL NOTES:

Brad was the FIRST Pulse test victim AND the FIRST Adrenaline test victim. Although he is a man of little emotion, that evil grin he gets when something makes his truck run better is all the acknowlegement of more power that we needed. Brad was also the prototype truck for the OBS CPR Fuel System. THANKS BRAD!

CUSTOMER COMMENTS:

First about my truck: It's the last year of the OBS type, 1997, crew cab, 4x4, auto, SRW.  Got this truck 9-02 with 93k miles.  I started with a Superchips tuner and haven't stopped.  More later about where the truck is at performance wise.

December 13th of '07 Bob let me Beta test a PULSE HPOP.  At the time I had stock injectors and stock tuning for an OBS.  After the install the truck felt strong.  I know this sounds vauge, but when in the throttle the truck just wanted to keep going, like a stronger momentum pulling it forward.  Before when at WOT, the RPM would just sort of glide up to the higher range.  With the PULSE in, the RPM pushed harder, quicker to the top.

Ten days later I installed DIY stage 1 injectors.  I still have these single shot AA's in the truck.  This injector upgrade made a HUGE difference in the truck.  I would compare the power level increase to a non tuned truck to a tuned version.  Seemed like a ton of weight just dissappeared off the back of the truck.  The PULSE of course supplied pleanty of oil and had no issues with the new pressure demands of stage 1's.  I put around 1000 miles on the PULSE.  My driving style consisted of a few burnouts, a few street drags, but mainly showing off around town and basic country driving.  My fuel milage improved slightly.  With the old 15 degree pump, I was getting around 11 MPG.  With the PULSE, I got 12.   I know it doesn't sound like much, but it's almost 10% for what it's worth.

Mid January Bob needed the PULSE back.  I had bought a used 17 SD HPOP for Christmas and swapped them out.  After changing to the SD pump I noticed that my burnouts weren't nearly as spectacular and my extreme chip setting didn't feel as strong as before.  To me, there was some power missing according to my "seat-O-da-pants" meter.  My milage stayed at 12 MPG.  With OBS tuning and stage 1's, the SD pump works well with this setup, but I think the PULSE is a nicer complement to this package.

Early October Bob offered for me to test another pump for him.  Of course I jumped in my truck and drove to him carrying flowers.  He explained that this pump was not a PULSE, but something different he'd been working on.  He was rather vauge, which is not like Bob.  Usually he's upfront and explains things in elaborate detail.  Anyways, I'm always glad to help test anything Bob comes up with.  I test this pump with my usual driving style.  It is stronger than the 17 SD pump.  Burnouts are more fun and the truck felt stronger again.  My fuel mileage increased again to 13MPG.

After about a week into testing, Bob told me more about this new pump.  He called it the Adrenaline.  He explained that it's different from the PULSE and wanted my feedback about everything I've experenced when testing it.

So far I've towed a 23' camper for 1000 miles, 5 trips down the drag track, numorous burnouts, and a total of 4500 miles.  I have had my chip reburned by Tony Wildman.  With Tony's economy tune, I very happy to report I'm now getting 14MPG.  With my old extreme tune and SD pump, my best 1/4 mile time was 15.9.  Now with a new extreme tune from Tony and the Adrenaline pump, my time went down to 15.2.   In mid Januray I put the truck on a dyno for the first time ever.  On the mustang I rolled 299 HP with 605 lbs of tourqe.  I can peg 3000 PSI almost instantly on the gauge I have.

I am very happy with this pump, have had no troubles and would recommend it anyone that needs to replace or upgrade. I love this pump!
