Be wary of companies that sell "modified injectors" as a diesel performance part. Many of these boast the same benefits as the injectors, but they are highly inefficient with fuel. The modified injector doesn't add more fuel but drops the same amount into the cylinder much faster. Aside from poor fuel economy, you'll get higher EGTs, a lot of smoke and not much more power. As the name suggests, "high idle" mode makes your truck idle at a higher RPM when parked. "Valet mode" is a safety feature that sets the maximum speed your truck can achieve at 70mph. Both of these programs are optional: the chip may be mailed to you with four, five or all six programs on it. The discrete control mounts to your dash so you can switch programs for immediate response. If you drive a Powerstroke diesel, there are specific files for vehicles which use our Monsterbox Transmission or a diesel performance part like the Hybrid 530 Injectors.
